Irish Setter Rescue

A starfish on the sandy beach with waves gently washing over it.

Starfish Legend

As the old man walked along the beach at dawn, he noticed a young man ahead of him picking up starfish and flinging them into the sea. Finally catching up with the youth, he asked him why he was doing this. The young man explained that the stranded starfish would die if left in the morning sun. "But the beach stretches for miles and there are millions of starfish," countered the old man. "How can your effort make any difference?" The young man looked at the starfish in his hand and then threw it to safety in the waves.

"It makes a difference to this one," he said - Lauren Eisely, from the Star Thrower.

Lending a helping hand

Our dedicated members are deeply committed to the well-being of our breed and genuinely concerned for the welfare of any Irish Setter in need. Through our extensive network of rescue volunteers, we strive to find loving homes for dogs that have been abandoned or surrendered by owners who can no longer care for them. Additionally, we are always ready to offer advice to owners facing challenges with their dogs.
